Kucas Making Lady into engineer!

Lady & Kelly are getting a little more at home here, although this week I had to take them into the vet to get them spayed! Talk about feeling terrible. they finally got to the point of trusting us, then had to drag them to the vet and make them feel terrible. I know it will get better but........ they will be really great pets! They really are mellow and it is fun to watch them together. When they see a cat, it is almost like they are planning on a mode of action to "get it" they look at each other and say "what do you think? shall we chase her?" then they both take off after the cat just to see it run! It will be almost a week since the trek to the vet and they are feeling a little better! Now a return trip to remove stitches! YUCK! don't know how I will get them there

Llamas & Ernie welcome Kelly & Lady into family

Llamas are very curious about the new arrivals! several even made their alarm calls to warn others of the new family members :-). they will adjust. Kelly and Lady the most mellow animals we have ever had!! We hadn't intended on getting 2 but they were sisters and looked like they couldn't be separated. so far we have had to coax them off the porch, into the house, and just about everything we wanted them to do. Guess it will take time for them to play like dogs. Ernie, even tho he is very old, LOVES to play fetch with the tennis ball and these girls I don't think have ever played :-(. It is really sad-they are so beautiful! It will take time to get adjusted.
well, so much has happened since I last blogged. Daniel came home from school and Kari came home to help for shearing days and open house then went back to Grand Rapids to work for the summer. Shearing days went really good and a good time was had by all who attended. I will post some pictures later of some of the new llama dews :-) and the cute angora goats brought by Kris of Colorfield Farms in Fredonia.
Well, I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful Sunday!
