Newsletter

I am sooooo trying to upload my newsletter to my blog. The last time I had my computer reformatted the PDF program part of it was deleted so now am having a hard time finding something that works with every ones computer :-( . And OF COURSE, my internet service is the slowest in the world! Hopefully it will work out real soon. If anyone is interested in receiving my newsletter via email, please let me know and I will send in out.

NEWSLETTER, OPEN HOUSE, CLASSES

I promise that I WILL have my newsletter completed and posted by Monday!
Just a reminder that open house/shearing days will be May 27. 28. 29 from 10-5. This year in addition to the open house we will also have a campfire/brat fry to help Hannah (daughter-in-law) raise support for her mission trip to Kenya. If you would like more information as to what Hannah and the team will do while there go to www.wpff.com .

We are praying for perfect weather -well, hopefully dry :-). It is so awesome to see the flowers and green grass. It is fun watching the birds carry off pieces of llama fiber for nest building. I can't wait for the grosbeak to migrate thru the area and the hummingbirds and blue birds!! I love spring!!

I am working on some one day classes for vacationers in the area. So if you are vacationing in Sheboygan Co. and would like a project to do on the loom, needle felt, or knit that would only take a couple of hours to 6 hours to complete, give me a call.

have a great day!

VACATION!!!! YAYYYYYY

I really can't believe we are going on vacation --just the 2 of us! We leave from Milwaukee Monday morning and arrive in Orlando then will be picked up by friends and go to Ocala. It will be so much fun just to hang out and be able to sit in the yard or walk along the ocean/beach-don't know for sure where we will go :-) ----without winter coats!!

Our son, Daniel, is home for spring break and will watch the shop and do chores on the farm. The need for money, being a college student, is always a good thing and he is a very good reliable worker. Thank you so much, Daniel!!! The shop will be open usual hours.

Upcoming events for spring newsletter will be coming shortly. Some dates to place on your calendars are the open house and llama shearing days---May 27,28 and 29th.

well, hope everyone is having a great winter and soon to be spring!

Newsletter, Classes

It has been terrible for me to get my winter newsletter completed!! First of all I want to thank all who have called and scheduled their own classes! I LOVE it!! so much that I have decided to do that until the end of summer. If there is a class you are interested in, needle felting, weaving, knitting, spinning, crocheting-please give me a call and we can set something up for you. If you organize 3 or more friends for one class, you will receive a 10% discount on the class.

Right now I am in the process of writing up a list of all the classes I offer with the cost for my newsletter and will get it up on my website ASAP.

For right now, for those of you who would like to weave but don't want to set up a loom, I have one set up to weave rugs. The cost is $10.00 a foot and all you do is simply weave. The cost includes materials. You could possibly have a rug completed in an afternoon :-).

Some of the other ideas I have for projects are done on a rigid heddle loom: tote or placemats using plastic bags. These can all be afternoon projects or completed in a short few hours.

This is also my 10th anniversary for the studio! wow, where has the time gone?! During the month of January and February anyone that has come into shop has entered their name into a basket for a drawing to take place the end of February. The basket is filled with yarn, patterns, assorted supplies, etc. -the basket was donated by Laurie Nielsen from Saukville. It is very nice!!

Also during the months of February, March and April, we will be having open knitting on Friday afternoons from 12:30 - 3. You may select any project from the magazine Knit Simple (call to have me save you a copy).

Well, I hope you are enjoying the beautiful freshly fallen snow. It really is beautiful-well, maybe not the shoveling. :-)
have a great day!

"Be like a duck. Calm on the surface, but always paddling like the dickens underneath."
~
Michael Caine

I saw this quote on a website this morning- totally feel like this!! I totally can't believe it is almost the middle of January! I should have my newsletter done but...........life has just gotten away from me. I am really happy some of you are calling me for a list of classes being offered and scheduling them yourself!! I love it!!! thank you.

January is my 10 year anniversary for the shop-where has the time gone. I feel like I have learned so much in the 10 years being in business - more than I ever wanted to learn but am finding I LOVE it all!!

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas & wish for you a Very Happy New Year! It was so much fun having everyone home for Christmas and a new baby :-). I love the holidays! This year I didn't get a single cookie baked and really feel great about that-it is all about family and relationships and NOT what you don't get done or do.

Now to get to my newsletter and class schedule-my goal is the end of the week. well, off to work.
Have a great day. The sun is shining and snow beautiful!!

P.S.
Kari, daughter, is in the Domincan Republic teaching and she experienced her first earthquake. Please pray for the people of Haiti -there is much destruction and loss of life.
